Meditation for Dystonia

Meditation can seem like an impossible task when we are suffering from the tension, spasms, pain and involuntary movements of dystonia. And yet, not only is meditation possible; it can, in fact, be highly beneficial. Meditation can help us regulate our nervous systems and, perhaps more importantly, gain awareness as to the dystonic patterns we engage in. Awareness, in turn, allows us to become intentional about how we inhabit and utilize different nerve pathways, and eventually learn new patterns of movement and muscle tone.

In the video below, you'll be guided through the basics of meditation for dystonia. You'll learn techniques that will empower you to begin to bring love to your experience while cultivating safety and avoiding overwhelm.
